Tutorial: How I Blow Dry My Hair

I've gotten a number of inquiries about how I do my hair and make is so "voluminous ." So I decided to do a tutorial about it. This one is just on how I blow dry it. I will post another one later about how I curl it. So be sure to check back for that. The products used in this video are the iTools Bio-Ionic Blow-dryer and Citre-Shine hair serum.

Just a few things:
  1. It is important to use the air concentrator attachment on the blow-dryer. It creates a sleeker blow-dry.
  2. Grip the hair by wrapping the brush around it from the bottom and blow drying, this is what creates the volume, and the bigger your brush, the more volume you will get.
  3. I usually let me hair air dry for a little while. I do not blow dry it directly out of the shower. The wetter it is, the longer it takes to dry. So I wait about a half-hour or until it is half dry and then blow dry. I like this because that means I can put less heat on it.
  4. I only wash my hair about every three days. This is because I if I did this to my hair everyday it would become very unhealthy.
  5. I wash and dry my hair at night. I then only need to curl it in the morning.
  6. I do not put any products other than hair spray on my hair once it is dry. I find that most products will weigh it down or make it feel greasy.

  1. Cool! Thanks for the tute! :) Now to dig out the blowdryer that I haven't seen/used since Cali was born and see if that will do anything close to what your amazing one does. :)
