Another Beachin' Weekend
Nathan and I started out this 4th of July weekend at the beach on Friday. Nathan had the day off so we packed the girls up in the car and drove out to Ventura. It was beautiful! It was sunny and warm. This time we took Delilah and Sarah down to the water. They were pretty unsure about the waves. They would creep up to the receding water, and then when a wave came up they would run away. Friday night we went out to dinner at a new BBQ restaurant out here called T-Bo's House of BBQ; it is where Rattlers used to be located in Canyon Country. It was so good! We ordered the T-Bo's Road Trip platter. It had North Carolina Pulled Pork, Texas Brisket, Santa Maria Tri-Tip, Kansas City Style Ribs, and Alabama White Sauce Chicken. We also got an order of coconut shrimp, and they were huge and delicious. If you live in the Santa Clarita area, I highly recommend you try out!
Sarah did not want to lie in the backseat. She wanted to sit on Nathan's lap while he drove. No need to be alarmed, Nathan is a professional driver and knows what he is doing.
Today was the 4th of July. We had a BBQ in the late afternoon with some family and friends. Nathan cooked up his famous "Naked Hotdogs" and stuffed hamburgers, with his signature grilled asparagus and mushrooms. Nathan's mom, Linda, made a yummy and refreshing dessert. It was a jell-O and fruit layer with a cream cheese filling YUM! For fireworks we went up to West Ranch High where you can see the whole valley and every firework show there is.
I am grateful for the soldiers who have fought, are fighting and will fight for our countries independence.

That BBQ sounds amazing. I love the girls' little faces when they see the water. So cute.
