Happy Memorial Day! Yesterday Nathan and I had a little BBQ since he has to work today and we had some friends over. It was also a little birthday celebration for my little brother Brandon. He is tunring 25, so I made him a chocolate cake with milk chocolate frosting. I usually just make sheet cakes, nothing special, but I wanted to try my hand at making a layered cake. It looks a little messy, but it was fun to make. Nathan cooked up some hamburgers and hot dogs and we watched some WWII footage as we remembered those who defend our freedom.
