Last weekend we spent the day down in San Clemente visiting our oldest friends the Kroghs for Emily's daughter's second birthday. The party was on the beach, and it was a gorgeous day. I can't recall the last time I went to the beach in October. Who knew it was such a great time to go? Hudson did great and loved playing in the sand and was a little more daring when it came to the water. It was a wonderful day spent with old friends who are practically family. I'm glad we made the trip down there. I loved having something to do that was out of the ordinary. We get so caught up with our responsibilities  like work and school that we forget to have fun sometimes.
