Pregnancy Diary: 15.5 Weeks

Today we got to see Baby at 15.5 weeks along. I am amazed at the changes that took place in these last 4 weeks. Baby looks more like a little person. Baby was just kickin' it today, and my doctor said it was sitting perfectly for a great photoshoot. Baby's profile is adorable, and I'd like to think it has my little button nose. At first baby has it's hand resting near the head and then at 1:03 it twists and turns and stretches out it's back, arms, and legs. At one point it looks like it faces forward, sits criss-cross-apple-sauce, and then resumes it's original position. I think it is just amazing.

Here is an update on the pregnancy thus far:

-The change in my schedule has thrown me for a bit of a loop. I have felt small bouts of morning sickness.
-I cannot brush my teeth without gagging. It is pretty ridiculous actually.
-I have not thrown up once, but I've come close!
-The texture of certain food bothers me and can make me gag sometimes i.e) yogurt
-Last night I got up to pee 3 times, but it is usually only once. Hopefully this doesn't become a trend.
-I don't sleep that well
-When I sneeze it hurts my uterus, I guess it pulls at the ligaments and causes them to tighten. Ouch!
-Total weight gain: 5 lbs
- I still fit in a lot of my clothes, although my pants are getting tight, so the belly-band has been a life saver. I am most comfortable in a dress.
-Cravings: none really or nothing that sticks around. In the beginning I always wanted gummy candy, and then these last two weeks I've wanted hamburgers, but that passed.
-I haven't been able to feel the baby move yet, but hopefully soon! I can't wait to feel it.
-Food I normally eat can bother me sometimes. A little while ago I was eating a slice of Papa John's pepperoni pizza, and the flavor was just too overwhelming for my taste buds, so I said to my sister, "This pizza is really strong!" She looked at me like I was crazy and said, "No it's not. It tastes like it always does." lol. I ended up needing to pick off all the pepperoni.
-I get hungry really quickly, but full just as quickly. So I cannot really eat too much in one sitting, not as much as I used to before getting pregnant. I went to a Mexican buffet last week and could only handle a salad and fruit. What a waist!
-In the afternoon, sleepiness hits me like a truck. I take at least one nap a day.
-My belly can look huge one minute and small the next. It really fluctuates.
-I am freezing out my students in the classroom because I get hot so easily and I become short of breath quickly while teaching. I feel like I just ran a mile and all I'm doing is standing up.
-I think this pregnancy has caused my eye prescription to change again for the worse.

All in all, I feel really good. This pregnancy has been considerably breezy. I look forward to my ultrasounds and seeing how Baby has grown. I look forward to finding out the sex in a few weeks. I go back and forth on what I think it might be. Sometimes I feel girl and sometimes boy. Only time will tell.
