...A Trip to Utah...

This past weekend I had a four day days off, so Nathan and I decided to head up to Utah to visit friends and family. Nathan and I both have family up there, and our good friends, the Kroghs recently moved up there. We were there Thursday night through Sunday night. It was a nice trip. We stayed with my brother Aaron and Nickell in the house they are remodeling. Thursday night we went to dinner and Los Hermanos. Afterward, we went to watch Serena's basketball game at BYU.

Friday Nathan and I went out with Todd to Chuck-a-Rama for lunch. We then went to see Wolfman, which I liked. That night Serana came out bowling with us. The teams were Todd and Serena vs. Nathan and me, Nathan and I won by 6 points each time (I give Nathan all the credit). so they had to buy us milkshakes, but we went to a place called 5 Guys: Burgers and Fries where they didn't have any milkshakes, so they bought us french fries instead.

Saturday we visited with Nathan's sister Trina and her family and that night we went out to Wingers with Emily and her husband Jordan, Todd, Chad and Chad's friend Levi. Wingers as yummy. We sat and chatted at the restaurant for some time. Todd, Chad, Nathan and I then went bowling again because Todd wanted a rematch. I bowled one of my best games! Oh, and, I was hit on. Listen to this, we were finished and Nathan had already walked to the counter to return his shoes and I was a little behind him. As a walked over I noticed this guys looking at me and before I knew it, he was by my side asking me "So, how'd you bowl" in his smoothest voice. "129" I replied, to which he said, "That's pretty good for a girl" (can you believe that?)...anyways I just said "Uh huh..." and went on my way...weird!

Sunday we slept in and lounged around. Aaron and Nickell cooked a yummy roast for dinner and cupcakes with homemade frosting for dessert YUM! We then were on our way. We got back home at 1:30 am. It was a nice get away. It was nice to see family and friends. Definitely a trip we will do again.

Sarah and Delilah had fun running around and playing in Aaron's backyard.

  2. Looks like so much fun! What a corny line, "How'd you bowl?" The girls look so cute and warm in their little sweaters outside. I bet you made those.
