Here is my weekend project. I felt like sewing something, but I am never sure what I am going to sew until I get to the fabric store, and due to the local craft store's sparse fabric selection it is always a mystery as to whether or not I will make anything at all. I was looking, looking, looking and I wasn't really pleased with anything I saw--nothing worth spending my money on. I decided to check out the bargain wall since I wasn't feeling like spending a whole lot of money. I found this fabric. It was cheap (only cost me about $7 to make) and it wasn't shouting super cute, but sometimes I like the challenge of taking mediocre fabric and making it into something cute. When Nathan saw the fabric in the bag we was like, "What? You making a Kilt?" haha...very funny. Well, the final project was this cute blazer, which I think is kinda Gossip Girl-esque. The patern below is the sewing pattern I used. The plaid version is the one I made, and as you will see, there is also a little tie that can be tied around the waist as an option.

I have another whole day off tomorrow as well...maybe I will sew something else...I did buy this cute skirt pattern...
